Our story began when one kid was walking by the Kola Superdeep office and heard about lava worms. Filled with the urge to protect these rare creatures, he made this website.

What is a lava worm?
Where we are now
A lava worm is a recently discovered species that live in the outer fringes of the earth's core. The first specimen was discovered when the Kola Superdeep Borehole SG-3 breached a small lava channel branching upwards and a lava worm wriggled into the gap. It took 12 separate scientists to confirm it was a new species and not an internet hoax. The tunnel was later sealed off in the name of conservation.
We have reached a stage where finally the public can know that lava worms need to be protected, no matter the risks.
